I'm sort of pale--and blush and eyeshadow etc. never seem to stay on... help!?

Ive gone through alot lately... and my mom wont let me wear black eyeliner or dark eyeshadow...she thinks ill go emo spaz. i have like NO money to spend on makeup...so i cant afford your 20$ eyelash curler. I usually wear light powder, lavender eyeshadow(i do not like that much), blush, clear mascara (blonde hair), and lip gloss. PLEASE HELP!

My hair is blonde (darker)

I think my coloring is very similar to yours. I usually wear a tinted moisturizer, concealer when needed, powder, a bit of blush, a light bronze, brown eyeshadow and brown mascara. Brown mascara is okay because its not as harsh as black and still looks pretty natural, especially with dark blonde hair.

Here are the products I use...I am a teacher and just married, so I cant afford $20 eyelash curlers either.

These all look natural and look much better than conforming to the emo look.

Choose light shades that match your skin tone. Pinch your cheeks to see what the right color blush it on you. Eyes look great in purples, browns and a bit of gold if you have some gold in your eyes.I'm sort of pale--and blush and eyeshadow etc. never seem to stay on... help!?
Regarding your makeup not staying put, you should always make sure to use a light moisturizer before applying makeup. Let it absorb thoroughly, apply make up as usual, and then take a relatively inexpensive light, flexible hold hairspray and lightly mist your finished face (I like Garnier Fructis Pure Fix Spray $8.99 at drugstores). People say this method clogs your pores, but as long as you maintain a good nighttime facial cleansing regimen complete with a salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide based cleanser, toner, and spot treatment, using hairspray as a quick fix works just fine. The product ';Model in a Bottle'; is also another option, sold at some drug stores and WalMart, but it can get pretty pricey.

Also, using a brown volumizing eye shadow will really make your eyes pop against your skin tone.
for your eyeshadow try an eyeshadow base

loreal makes a good one it costs around $6

cant help with blush i dont wear it

i just looked at mine its called Loreal De-Crease
A little bronzer in a peach-gold color is flattering, and lights up pale skin without looking fake. Use a light coat across youir cheeks and the bridge of your nose, and add a little just below your eyebrows. Use a TINY bit on your chin and forehead.

It also lasts longer than regular blush. Try it with a peach, pinkish or golden eye shadow, even a cheap brand is okay, for a summery look. Eyeshaow stays on better sometimes if you dab a little mosturizer on your eyelids first.
1] moisturize at night, not in morning

2] brush loose translucent powder all over face [ eyelids too ]

3] put a dab of cream blush on cheeks, followed by powder blush in same shade [ lasts twice as long! ]

4] get some shadow trios in blues, browns, and maybe grays or lavenders. Choose shades in colors that look good on you

[ baby blue vs. aqua; white vs. ivory, taupe vs. caramel ]

5] put lightest color from eyelashes to eyebrows - light even coat [ like painting! ]

6] put medium color from lashes to crease

7] then put darkest color in crease, and blend gently with pinky or ring finger [ sort of tap along so colors apear to merge into each other, like rainbows ].

The shadows especially take practice - after you finish, go outside in sunlight and look at yourself in the mirror to make sure you don't look like a hooker.

8] try some expresso brown mascara, and navy or expresso brown crayon liner [ Cover Girl, L'oreal, Physician's Formula ].
Has anyone ever complimented you on a shirt color that looked good on you? If so, try buying that color in eyeshadow and eyeliner. You can get the shadow color shimmery to have some more fun with it. Line your eyes half way from the outer corner of yours eyes on the top and bottom. Then apply the shadow going from the lid onto the crease. Blend in upwards with your finger in small strokes to give you a flirty effect. You can try covergirl eye shadow. Its nice and inexpensive. Hope that helps :)
